The New Line 2-Disc Platinum version is jam-packed with special features, including 12 featurettes, photo galleries, and three trailers.

'Golden Compass' star unsure of sequel

Posted 15 Feb 2008 by Holli

Dakota Blue Richards has said she is not sure if there will be a sequel to The Golden Compass.

The film was based on the first book in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy but the actress said she had not been informed of any plans to adapt the remaining two.

The movie, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, did not perform as well as expected in the US, although it was a hit in Europe.

The 13-year-old, who played the lead role of Lyra Belacqua, told Teletext: "I think they are going to see how it does when it opens in Japan.

"It's set in Oxford so it is going to be better received here."
